In 2023, roughly 29 percent of adults in the United States reported feeling excited about tipping, whereas 31 percent reported feeling pressured. Although many reported feeling positive emotions surrounding tipping culture in the U.S., a similar amount reported feeling more negative emotions regarding tipping culture.
